NARROWBOATING
NARROWBOATING
Generally speaking, narrow boats are to be found on tranquil inland waterways, and with good reason.
Moving from one system to another however is an objective for many and this has led increasingly to a crossing of the Wash from river to river. All possible, but with caution and careful planning.
Consult the relevant harbour authority in advance and there may even be advice over a local pilot who is well versed in navigating the creeks between sandbanks. Be prepared for a picnic or even a game of beach cricket as these passages require two tides.
